TIPS TO PREVENT YOUR PHONE FROM CATCHING FIRE

Avoid charging for long hours and never charge your phone overnight

In most smartphone explosions, it is observed that the main reason for the explosion is overcharging. People mostly charge their phones overnight while sleeping. Just stop that practice of charging your smartphone for long hours as this may lead to overheating. So, always remember to unplug once the phone is charged.

Never keep something over your phone while charging

Avoid leaving your smartphones under the pillow while charging as it may too cause your smartphone to overheat and catch fire.

Never play games or watch movies while your phone is charging

Playing games or watching movie while your phone is plugged to the wall socket for charging increases the battery temperature drastically and could lead to explosions.

Avoid using earphones while your phone is charging
Never use earphones to listen to music while your phone is charging.

Always disconnect the charger while taking calls

Never take or make calls when your phone is plugged to the wall socket for charging.

Don't charge your phone on power strip or extension cord

As a precaution, it's always better not to charge your smartphone on those power strip extension cords. This is because if any device in one of the sockets in the cord is affected, it is sure to cause damage to your smartphone as well.

Don’t keep your phone under direct sunlight while charging

Avoid charging your smartphone in direct sunlight or other hot places like near the car's dashboard (of course, during the day) especially for long hours. This may make the heating issue worse. The accepted temperature is usually 0 to 45 degree centigrade.

Always opt for original manufacturer’s replacement batteries

Just like chargers, it is also important to use original batteries. So in case your smartphone's battery needs to be changed, ensure that you get it replaced with the original one.

Always use the charger that comes with the phone to charge it

It's always best to use the charger that comes with your smartphone (manufacturer's original charger). In case the charger gets lost or starts malfunctioning, always replace it with branded chargers. Fake and unbranded chargers pose one of the biggest risk.
